Yes, today I arrived in Tartu and it feels like coming home. The country I’ve spent 5 years of my life, how can it else be? In the beginning of June I moved back to Norway (for good). It has been some busy days with a lot of working so time goes fast, and I haven’t really understood yet that I am no longer living in Estonia. But now I am back here for some days to attend the summerconference! This time it is a lot of focus on preaching the Gospel. Evangelist Mikael Alfvén will come and on Saturday evening we will have big outreach in downtown Tartu! It has been a lot of restistance to get permission, but now we finally got it and it will be powerful! Friday daytime I am leading the outreach in the city and we will have the youths there playing music, having drama, testifying and preaching the gospel! I love it!;) Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever, that’s why we can expect the samethings today which took place 2000 years ago – salvation, deliverance, healing, miracles – the kingdom of God is at hand!!!
This weekend we have Rani Sebastian in our church. I am really looking forward for those meetings. I have only heard her preach once, but that meeting meant so much to me. It was during the summerconference here in Tartu in 2004. In the middle of the preaching she stopped and pointed at me. Then she started to prophecy over me and spoke straight into my life! It was so powerful and it has been so encouraging to me over these years.
Prophetic words are so powerful. I have got some during the years, and it often comes when you least expect it. It is nothing we should seek after, but God knows when we need it and then He will give it to us. Remember, the most powerful way to hear from God is when he speaks to you in the private, in your prayer closet. We can all prophecy over our own life, which I do often! Paul says in 1Cor 14:5 that he would like to see everyone prophesying. God is more eager to speak to you than you might think. He speaks through times of Bible reading, through listening to preaching and through the voice of the Holy Spirit on the inside of you. Some can hear an audible voice from God, which I haven’t experienced yet, but I believe it can happen. Oh, what a privilege to hear from God and let Him speak to us and guide us in every area of our life! We are one with Him, so let us have fellowship with God in the most intimate way!
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen”
2 Cor. 13:14
Friday I had my last youthmeeting as a youthpastor. I was preaching about “You got what it takes” with the focus what we are and have in Christ and our calling to live His life on earth! It was a great evening. Many youths were there, even some new people. After meeting we had a BBQ party! So my 3 years as a youthpastor has come to an end. Right now it is heard to realize it, but the feelings will come in a while I believe…
Earlier in the same day was also the graduation for bibleschool. It has been a priviledge to have taken part in it. I have attended some of the classes as well as taught in two subjects. I will teach next year as well;)
Saturday I had a wonderful day in the country side with the pastor couple and their family. Such a lovely weather, great fellowship, bbq (once again), sauna and swimming in a lake. I loved it. Estonia at its best!;)
Today, at the morning service in church I was sharing from my heart about my 5 years in Estonia. I’ve taken part of many great things here these years, like: Jesus Station/ U-turn, Jesus Conference, youthprison, youthwork in Põlva, wintercamp, missioncamp, encountercamp, youthmeetings, cellgroups, missiontrips, prayermeetings, streetmeetings, worshipnights, internationlstudent meeting, bibleschool, New Generation, missiontrip to India and Ethiopia. God has been so good to me. I can just say one things, THANK YOU JESUS!!! I am looking forward to what God has prepared in the time to come.
In the afternoon I was preaching in Põlva! We had a great meeting and God moved in strong way!
Early afternoon today we had an outreach in a High School. It was a great time in many ways. The headmaster had made certain restrictions to what we could do. We are not allowed to do any propaganda…but we were as bold as we could and I believe God touched hearts today. The Word of God is living and powerful and never returns back empty. The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation, so I trust it all had a good effect on the students there. We had a worshipband who did a great preformance with a mixture of some faster christian rock songs and also good worship. Tom Uiga shared his testimony and I shared how Jesus came into my life and turned things around. A personal testimony is always powerful and is speaking to hearts.
I am thankful to God that we could do this, and that I could experience somethings like this before I return to Norway. Let next year be filled with meetings like this. The doors to the schools of Tartu and around Estonia are opening!

Today I am just spending time in the Word of God and in His presence. Right now I am listening to a sermon of Johannes Amritzer. So inspiring!
Many things are going to take place this week. On Wednesday, 25th of May, we are going to visit a High School in Tartu. God has opened a door and given us the opportunity to gather 250-300 students for 45 minutes. We will a worship-concert with drama and I will preach the Gospel. Jesus, give me the words to say! I pray that the Holy Spirit will move in a might way and touch the hearts of those youths! Only He know how to do that! He know the youths of todays Estonia. I pray that many will receive Jesus into their hearts that day!
Friday we are going to have “Suur Noortekoosolek”. It will be our last youthmeeting before the summer. We invite youths from Viljandi and Põlva and I will preach my last sermon as a youthpastor. It will be a special experience. I’m looking forward to it. I believe the Holy Spirit has something unique prepared for that night. We will end the evening with a barbecue-party! We will hand out invitations to the school on Wednesday, so hopefully we will have you new guests that evening as well:)
Sunday will be a farewell meeting and I will share from my heart to the church. After nearly 5 years in this church it is with mixed feelings that I am leaving. It has been such good time and I am thankful to God that he brought me here. I have learned so much that I wouldn’t have exchanged with anything.
In the afternoon I will preach in Word of life Church in Põlva. The two first years in Estonia I spent much time there in the youthwork. Looking forward to be back and preach the Word of God that Sunday.
Jesus, thank you for all that you have prepared for this week. Holy Spirit, speak through me with your power and anointing, in Jesus Name. Amen!
I am so thankful to God for the days at the Encounter Camp. It was so good in many ways. We were 22 youths together in a village about 30km from Tartu. We were blessed with lovely weather so we could enjoy much of the time outside in the nature, barbecuing, studing the bible, praying, spend time alone with God, worshiping and having strong Holy Ghost meetings. It was a very relaxed time togther. We had put together a schedule, but didn’t follow it in detail. There were two goals for this camp. One was to have a good fellowship with an opennes, getting to know eachother more and of course to get to know God in a better way! I feel that this camp reached those two goals. Saturday evening was really good! The Holy Spirit was moving and some got baptized in the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately I totally lost my voice on Saturday so I was not as free to share the Word as I wanted, but God helped me in the evening and I was able to share a bit from my heart about the Holy Spirit. Mihkel (the coming youthpastor) was also sharing in the morning and partly in the evening. Good to see that he is the right man to take over!
God is faithful! He gives the fruit and builds His Kingdom. I am glad to be one of His servants. Here are some pictures:

This weekend we are going to the countryside with the youths. We’re going to have an Encounter Camp! The goal is to create an opportunity for the youths to spend time with God, to get to know him in a deeper way! We live in a time where so many things are trying to steal our focus away from God. Many Christians don’t take time to seek God and hear from Him. The result is that the supernatural element of the Christian faith is left out and we live only after our emotions and intellect. One encounter with God can change your whole life! I believe we will have some special and powerful days together! I am looking forward to spend time with them, speak into their lives and see how God is transforming them!
Keep us up in prayer if you can
It has been some good days and very social days. The day after I came back from Sweden I had two guys over at my place – Alexander from Norway, and Jackie from USA. Two wonderful brothers that came to visit me. We had a great time together. It is a gift from God to have friends that builds you up and encourages you. We had lots of fun, staying up late. The first day we had biblestudies until 3 am;)
On Thursday came another brother over to Estonia. Harald Høidahl is his name! It was a great blessing to have him over. He was teaching at the bibleschool on Friday, then in the evening we had Worhsip Night which was fantastic! He had also a worship seminar on Saturday and was preaching today at the Sunday meeting. It was so inspiering to spend time with him!
Today it is excalty 3 weeks before I return back to Norway. I have soon spend 5 years as a missionary in Estonia. It has been a great time which I am very thankful for, but I feel it’s time to move on and step into other things that God has for me. It feels like a new chapter of my life is about to take place! I am seeking God for His plan and purpose. He is in control! Prov 16:9 says that “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” I put my trust in Him and know that I walk in the fullness of what He has for me!
I am going to enjoy the rest of my time in Estonia to the max! All for Jesus!
These days I have Harald Høidahl over here in Estonia. It’s a blessing to spend some time with him!
Tomorrow we will have a worhsip night in our church, where Harald is going to sing together with a worship band from Tartu and Tallinn. I am looking forward to this and I believe it will be a powerful evening in the presence of God! An open heaven over our lives!
I am so thankful for the days at the Spring Seminar! Ulf Ekman was teaching from Thursday to Sunday from Rom 8:37, “In all these things we are more than conquerors”.
One of the things he emphasized in teaching was that our life on earth is a preparation for heaven. Heaven is the ultimate goal and it is important to not lose focus while we are here on earth. He gave light to the verses before Rom 8:37. “In all these things…” is actually talking about the suffering we are going through or will go through here on earth. He attacked the Christian lifestyle that is all about fulfilling personal needs and live as comfortable as possible. He warned us that we need to be ready for challenges and tribulations… only then can we actually be more than conquerors.
He also emphasised the importance of living a holy life and becoming in the likeness of Jesus! He boldly said, “Holiness will conquer the world!”
He also lifted up the truth that we live out of a position of victory. We are walking in the victory that Jesus provided for us on the Cross. It is important to focus on what Jesus has done for us, the freedom He has given us, the authority we have in Christ! Jesus died, but rose again. We died with Christ, rose with Him, and are now seated with Christ at the right hand of the Father in the heavenly places! From that position we are facing every attack and tribulation here on earth. From that position we are far above the enemy – Satan and his demons who are defeated!!!
Suffering has nothing to do with defeat, but that is a part of the victories walk. In all of these things we are more than conquerors!
